Cheap device, poor quality: no automatic 220/110V detection, no satellite time reception, you have to drill through your cupboard to install it (!!!!), and so on.

I bought this item for one reason, the battery backup. I already have a Sony under-cabinet radio/cd player but it doesn’t have a battery backup and with frequent electrical outages in our area, resetting the clock and presets over and over was extremely annoying. After finally getting this one installed under the cabinet, I removed the battery only to find that I could not put it back into the radio!!! After several uncomfortable minutes practically upside down of trying to put the battery back into place, I removed the radio from under the cabinet and tried inserting the battery. It was no use. It would not go in again. If you’re counting on a battery backup, this thing is absolutely, totally and completely useless!!! If I could have given it a minus 5, I would have!! I received it this afternoon. Tomorrow I’ll be mailing it back to the company. It will be a long time before I buy another Sony product. There’s a reason Sony rhymes with balony!

installed in my kitchen and it gets ok FM but it hardly gets a clear reception on AM. Only get one station and it comes in bad.
Easy to install. plays CDs great. Sound is good when you get a station in.
